School Business Manager – Holborn – April/May 2025

  • Location: Holborn, Camden
  • Salary: £48,000 - £58,000 per annum
  • Start Date: April/May 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced School Business Manager to join a newly formed five-school federation in Central London. This is a key leadership role overseeing the financial operations of five one-form entry primary schools, ensuring the efficient management of a £10-12 million budget across multiple sites.

As the School Business Manager, you will…

  • Oversee and manage the collective budget of £10-12 million across the federation, ensuring effective allocation of resources
  • Develop financial strategies to optimise spending, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with local authority and DfE regulations
  • Collaborate with Headteachers and Governors to drive financial sustainability and operational effectiveness
  • Manage cross-fertilisation of funds between sites to support the needs of all five schools
  • Oversee procurement, contracts, and school facilities, ensuring best value and efficiency

We are looking for a highly skilled, strategic, and financially astute individual with:

  • Experience in financial management within a school, multi-academy trust, or public sector organisation
  • A strong understanding of school funding, budget planning, and financial compliance
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to engage with senior leaders and external stakeholders
  • The ability to work across multiple sites and manage complex financial structures
  • A relevant qualification in finance, business administration, or school management (CSBM, DSBM, AAT, or equivalent is desirable)

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a forward-thinking and collaborative school federation. If you are ready to take on a leadership role in school business management, we would love to hear from you.
