SEN Teaching Assistant required in Croydon for September!
Aspiring Psychologist? Aspiring Primary Teacher? Seeking a year of practical child-centred experience where you can empower young people?
With a fantastic track record of launching the SEN careers of talented Graduates, this Croydon Primary School are looking to secure a SEN Teaching Assistant to commence a one-year Teaching Assistant placement starting in September 2024.
Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support the learning and social development of a variety of children aged between 4-11 who have been diagnosed with cognitive and neurological conditions (ASC, ADHD, Aspergers, Global Delay).
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:
- Have a minimum of a 2:1 degree within a relevant degree subject (Psychology/Criminology/SEN/Early Childhood Studies/Education Studies).
- Ideally have experience working with children with SEN (Autism, ADHD, Global Delay) on a 1:1 basis or in a whole class setting.
- Applicants who have already undertaken training or have experience in Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach are desirable although not essential.
- Be flexible, proactive and patient.
- Be able to communicate effectively within a team.
- Be committed to working full-time from September 2024-July 2025.
