Job Description

Teacher of Geography - Central London
Salary: Inner London MPS/UPS (no TLR)
Start Date: September 2025

A well run and ambitious secondary school in Central London is seeking a passionate and committed Teacher of Geography to join its Humanities department from September. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a school with strong leadership, a clear academic vision, and a supportive culture focused on growing the Geography department.

About the School:
Rated Good overall by Ofsted with Outstanding leadership and management, the school offers a well-sequenced, knowledge-rich curriculum and places a strong emphasis on subject-specialist teaching. Staff are empowered to deliver ambitious, high-quality lessons in an environment where excellent behaviour supports learning.

Teacher of Geography - The Role:
You’ll be joining the school at a pivotal time for Geography. While KS5 uptake is currently low (with no Year 12 cohort this year), there’s significant potential for growth. The successful candidate will teach across KS3–KS5, including a Year 13 A-Level group, with strong backing from SLT to reinvigorate the subject.

Teacher of Geography - What the school offers:

  • A calm, focused behaviour culture that enables effective teaching
  • A rigorous and ambitious curriculum
  • Strong CPD and progression opportunities
  • Excellent support from senior leadership
  • A vibrant, well-connected central London location

Teacher of Geography - Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified & hungry Geography teacher with UK classroom experience
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Geography
  • Committed to high academic standards and student success
  • Keen to contribute to the development and growth of the department

If you're excited about helping to shape the future of Geography in a supportive, high-achieving school, we’d love to hear from you.
