Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions.
  • Work closely with a Speech and Language Therapist to implement effective communication strategies.
  • Support SEND pupils in line with the curriculum while helping to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Build strong communication channels with parents and staff, ensuring consistent progress tracking.
  • Take an active role in pupil development as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, focusing on improving outcomes in a school that is working to improve its Ofsted rating.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • A graduate from a top 20 UK University with a Science-based degree.
  • A qualified Speech and Language Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant experience working with speech and language needs.
  • Confident behaviour management skills and experience working within a large school setting.
  • Proactive, creative and flexible approach to classroom challenges.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to make a genuine difference.
  • A strong desire to progress in the field of speech and language therapy and education support.
