Your role as a SEMH Support Assistant:

Lead individual and small-group lessons focused on emotional, social, and academic development
-
Support students 1:1 with SEMH needs, ensuring their progress and attainment are prioritised
-
Confidently manage classroom behaviour and follow the school’s behaviour policy effectively
-
Collaborate with teaching staff and SEND team to maintain consistent support strategies
-
Demonstrate excellent communication with both colleagues and parents/carers
-
Adapt lessons and approaches creatively to meet the needs of each pupil
-
Work as part of a large, dynamic staff team, embracing a proactive and team-oriented approach

Strive toward leadership opportunities by showing dedication and initiative in your role
About You:

Hold a 1:1 Degree from a top 20 UK University and possess QTS
-
Previous experience supporting SEMH students is essential

Resilient and confident when handling challenging behaviour
-
Able to adapt to changing needs and situations with flexibility

Strong team player with a desire to progress into middle or senior leadership
