A well-regarded secondary school in West London is seeking a dedicated Maths Graduate Academic Support Assistant to join its team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 within the Maths Department, working closely with subject teachers, the Head of Department, and pastoral leaders.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering tailored academic support through a combination of 1:1 and small group intervention sessions, helping students build confidence in their mathematical understanding and achieve their full academic potential.

This is an ideal post for a Maths Graduate with aspirations to pursue a PGCE or teacher training programme in 2025, offering valuable insight into classroom teaching and student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted support to students across Years 7–11 in Maths
• Deliver focused 1:1 and small group tuition to address learning gaps and reinforce core concepts
• Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to support academic progress and engagement
• Assist with lesson planning, resource preparation, and student assessments
• Contribute to a positive and focused learning environment

Candidate Profile:

• A recent Maths graduate from a leading university
• Passionate about education with a clear interest in pursuing a teaching career
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support students
• Organised, proactive, and able to work collaboratively as part of a professional team
• Previous experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring) is highly desirable
