SEND Teaching Assistant | Job Summary
- Initial 1-Year contract commencing September 2025 (earlier starts are possible)
- Mainstream Secondary School in Sutton
- £500+ per week | £100+ per day | Paid weekly on a PAYE basis
- Providing support to 11-16 year olds with SEND and SEMH needs
- Contract extensions / permanent jobs available for those wanting to remain at the school beyond initial one-year contract
- Ideal role for aspiring Psychologists / Counsellors / Wellbeing Practitioners / Teachers
- Minimum of a 2:2 Psychology degree required to be considered
SEND Teaching Assistant | Job Description
- Providing classroom support to 11-16 year olds with Autism Spectrum Condition, Speech and Communication Difficulties, ADHD and Severe Social Anxieties.
- Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals and groups of students.
- Monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil achievement, progress and development.
- Building core skills and supporting a strong knowledge base through a tailored approach to the individual needs of the pupils.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, carers and family.
This SEND TA role calls for a Psychology Graduate who is resilient, proactive, and ready to take on challenges with a positive mindset. You’ll need the determination to make a lasting impact and the emotional maturity to support students through setbacks and breakthroughs. Prior experience in the mental health field is a definite advantage.
