Job Description

ASC Behaviour Mentor | Psychology Graduate Opportunity | Wandsworth | September Start

Empower autistic pupils. Build trust. Make a lasting impact.

Are you a Psychology graduate eager to work hands-on with children who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? Join a warm and inclusive school in Wandsworth as a Behaviour Mentor, where you’ll support pupils with autism and associated Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are passionate about autism, behaviour support, and mental health — especially those considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or SEN Teaching.

What you’ll be doing as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Supporting autistic children and those with SEMH needs across the classroom and in specialist settings

  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions focused on emotional regulation, routines, and communication

  • Helping implement structured behaviour plans and autism-friendly strategies

  • Building safe, trusting relationships with pupils who thrive on consistency

  • Promoting independence, engagement, and self-confidence through patient, tailored support

We’re looking for a Behaviour Mentor who:

  • Holds a 2:1 or above in Psychology, Sociology, or a related subject

  • Has an interest in autism support, behaviour intervention, and child development

  • Can remain calm, consistent, and nurturing – especially during moments of dysregulation

  • Has experience working with children, ideally with additional needs or neurodiversity

  • Is available full-time from September 2025 – July 2026

Why apply for this Behaviour Mentor role in Wandsworth?

  • Work in a well-resourced Wandsworth school with a strong focus on inclusion and autism support

  • Weekly pay between £450–£525 (PAYE)

  • Ongoing training and mentoring from SEN specialists

  • Ideal foundation for a career in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or SEN Teaching

If you're a Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting autistic children and creating safe, supportive learning spaces, this Behaviour Mentor role in Wandsworth is your perfect next step.

Apply today to make a meaningful difference from September 2025.
