Graduate Maths Academic Mentor – Wandsworth – September 2025 Start
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444 per week (PAYE)

Are you a Maths graduate hoping to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers?
A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Wandsworth is searching for a Graduate Maths Academic Mentor to support pupils from September 2025. As a Graduate Maths Academic Mentor, you will help pupils improve their confidence and understanding in Maths.
This Graduate Maths Academic Mentor role includes in-class support, small group work and targeted tutoring for pupils preparing for their GCSEs. You will be part of a supportive team and see first-hand how pupils grow in skill and confidence.
The Graduate Maths Academic Mentor role is ideal for someone who wants to train as a teacher or work in education long-term.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting Maths learning in class and small groups
- Helping pupils develop key skills and strategies
- Building confidence in numeracy
- Supporting exam preparation and revision
We’re looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in a Maths-related Bachelor’s degree from a UK university
- Strong numeracy and clear communication skills
- A positive and encouraging attitude
- A full-time commitment for the academic year
Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot consider overseas degrees, even with a UK Master’s. Sponsorship is not available, so applicants must have UK citizenship or the right to work via settled status.
