Location: Richmond, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Are you a confident Maths graduate looking to support pupils in Key Stage 2 as a Numeracy Mentor this September?
A high-performing primary school in Richmond is looking for a Numeracy Mentor to join their team for the new academic year. This Numeracy Mentor role is ideal for a graduate with strong Maths skills who wants to gain in-school experience before teacher training.
As a Numeracy Mentor, you will support children who need extra help with number work, problem solving and arithmetic. The school wants a Numeracy Mentor who is enthusiastic, patient and committed to helping pupils build confidence in Maths.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering 1:1 and group Maths interventions
- Supporting pupils with gaps in understanding
- Helping pupils apply maths in real-world contexts
- Preparing resources and supporting teachers with planning
- Supporting children with mild SEND or EAL
We’re looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in Maths or a related subject
- Confidence in explaining mathematical concepts
- A calm and encouraging teaching style
- A genuine interest in education
Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot consider overseas degrees, even with a UK Master’s. Sponsorship is not available, so applicants must have UK citizenship or the right to work via settled status.
