We’re working with Whatley Campus, a specialist school for students aged 9–16 with complex needs, to recruit a compassionate and resilient ASC/ADHD Teaching Assistant for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time, long-term position and a fantastic chance for a graduate looking to launch a career in child development, teaching, or therapy.
What you can expect as an ASC/ADHD Teaching Assistant:

A dedicated ASC/ADHD Teaching Assistant role supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and trauma

One-to-one and small group support

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, teachers and SENCOs

Specialist training and long-term development in a therapeutic setting

A stepping stone into careers in Educational Psychology, SEN teaching, or CAMHS
Your role as an ASC/ADHD Teaching Assistant will involve:

Supporting the learning, emotional regulation and wellbeing of pupils with ASC and ADHD

Developing strategies for behaviour and communication

Creating a consistent and structured learning environment

Working collaboratively with the SEN team to deliver therapeutic and academic support

Monitoring and adjusting your approach to meet individual needs
We are looking for a Psychology graduate who:

Holds a 2:1 or above in Psychology or a related field

Has a genuine passion for supporting neurodiverse learners
-
Is patient, calm, and committed to inclusive education

Works well in a team and communicates clearly with staff and students

Is ready to take on the challenge and reward of an ASC/ADHD Teaching Assistant role
