Teaching Assistant – KS1 | Independent Prep School | Sept 2025 Start

Salary: £26,989-£32,250 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and proactive individual to join a highly respected independent prep school as a KS1 Teaching Assistant from September 2025.

This is an ideal role for someone eager to gain hands-on classroom experience in a warm, vibrant and forward-thinking setting. Working closely with experienced class teachers, you’ll support pupils’ academic and pastoral development, whether guiding small groups, assisting with classroom activities, or helping create a stimulating learning environment.

The school is known for its smaller class sizes, strong sense of community and commitment to nurturing curiosity, confidence and independence in its pupils. You’ll enjoy shorter academic terms than the state sector, as well as the chance to be part of a dedicated, friendly staff team.

After one year in post, there is a clear route into salaried teacher training, making this the perfect stepping stone for aspiring educators.

We’re looking for someone reliable, enthusiastic and motivated to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not essential—what matters most is your energy, communication skills and passion for education.
