Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Richmond is hiring a Speech and Language Support Assistant to work closely with pupils who experience communication barriers. As a Speech and Language Support Assistant, you will play a key role in improving outcomes for children with speech, language, and social communication needs.
The school is searching for a Speech and Language Support Assistant who is empathetic, reliable and ready to learn from experienced SEN professionals. This Speech and Language Support Assistant role would suit a graduate considering careers in speech therapy, SEND teaching, or educational psychology.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing tailored interventions to develop vocabulary and expressive language
- Supporting children with EHCPs and speech-related challenges
- Collaborating with external speech and language therapists
- Promoting confidence and communication through structured play
- Supporting classroom learning and adapting resources
We’re looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Linguistics, or a related degree
- A patient and proactive attitude
- An interest in SEND, child development or speech therapy
- Commitment for the full academic year
