Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Are you a confident English graduate keen to work in education as an English Graduate Tutor this September?

A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking an English Graduate Tutor to provide targeted support to pupils across KS3 and KS4. As an English Graduate Tutor, you will assist with English Language and Literature, developing key reading and writing skills and helping pupils prepare for GCSE exams.

The school is particularly keen to meet an English Graduate Tutor who can inspire a love for reading and bring creativity to intervention sessions. This English Graduate Tutor role would suit someone considering a PGCE or career in publishing, teaching or literacy development.

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering structured interventions in reading and writing
• Supporting small groups with GCSE English preparation
• Encouraging discussion, debate, and text analysis
• Promoting independent learning and study techniques
• Supporting the English department with planning and marking

We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or higher in English Literature, Language or similar
• A confident communicator with a strong academic background
• A passion for literature and inclusive education
• Commitment to the full academic year
