Science Technician – Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical science lessons
  • Assisting in the maintenance and safety of lab equipment and chemical stock
  • Supporting the delivery of experiments in KS3–KS5 science classes
  • Working alongside teaching staff to ensure lessons run smoothly and safely
  • Helping to maintain the cleanliness and organisation of prep rooms and laboratories
  • Complying with Health and Safety regulations and school policies

 

Science Technician – Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with a Science A-Level or relevant undergraduate degree (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related subject). Previous experience working in a school or laboratory setting is desirable but not essential. You’ll need to be reliable, well-organised, and confident working in a team. A keen eye for detail and a responsible attitude towards safety and procedures is essential.

 

Science Technician – Contract and Pay

  • £444 per week, paid on a weekly basis (term-time only)
  • Full-time, long-term contract from September 2025 to July 2026
  • Based in a well-resourced secondary school in Haringey
  • No visa sponsorship available – applicants must have the right to work in the UK
