Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

A welcoming secondary school in Hounslow is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is perfect for graduates interested in careers in educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or SEND teaching.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working closely with the SENCo and classroom teachers to provide one-to-one and small group support. You’ll help students with Autism, ADHD and speech and language needs to access the curriculum, develop confidence and engage positively in school life. The SEN Teaching Assistant position offers excellent hands-on experience before further training.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEND in lessons across KS3–KS4
- Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy and social skills
- Encouraging independence and positive behaviour in and out of class
- Supporting teachers with adapting resources and lesson delivery
We’re looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, English, or a related degree
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Full academic year availability
