Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Are you a Maths graduate with a strong academic background, looking to gain valuable classroom experience as a Maths Intervention Assistant this September?

A high-performing secondary school in Richmond is searching for a Maths Intervention Assistant to support pupils who need extra help with numeracy and mathematical problem-solving. This role is ideal for graduates keen to pursue teaching, tutoring, or educational psychology careers.

As a Maths Intervention Assistant, you’ll work with pupils across KS3 and KS4, providing targeted support to boost confidence and improve attainment. You’ll collaborate with classroom teachers and the SENCo, delivering one-to-one sessions and small group interventions, while reinforcing key mathematical concepts. The Maths Intervention Assistant role will give you a clear insight into classroom teaching and curriculum delivery, preparing you for PGCE or school-based training routes.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils in Maths lessons across KS3–KS4
• Running 1:1 and small group numeracy interventions
• Adapting resources to support learners of different abilities
• Tracking progress and sharing feedback with staff

We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or above in Mathematics or a related degree
• Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners
• Full academic year commitment
