About the Role
Ribbons & Reeves are looking for a caring, proactive Pastoral Teaching Assistant to help support the personal, social, and emotional wellbeing of our students. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people feel understood, supported, and
ready to learn.
Pastoral Teaching Assistant:
What You’ll Do
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Provide daily pastoral support, listening, guidance, and encouragement
- Support behaviour, attendance, and engagement across the school
- Assist with early interventions and wellbeing programmes
- Support in classrooms when needed to help students stay focused
Pastoral Teaching Assistant:

- A warm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
- Resilience and a calm manner, especially during challenges
- Experience working with young people (school or child setting preferred)
