Aspiring Educational Psychologist
Location: Barnet, North London
Pay: £105 to £110 per day (PAYE)
Start date: ASAP

Are you an Aspiring Educational Psychologist seeking practical, long-term experience in a secondary school before progressing into further training or postgraduate study?

An all-boys secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint an Aspiring Educational Psychologist to work as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with additional learning, behavioural and emotional needs both in and out of the classroom.

Aspiring Educational Psychologist – The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to boys who require additional academic or pastoral support

  • Work closely with pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs across KS3 and KS4

  • Support teachers with lesson delivery, behaviour management and classroom engagement

  • Build positive, professional relationships to help pupils remain focused and motivated

  • Gain hands-on experience working alongside the SENCO, pastoral teams and external specialists

Aspiring Educational Psychologist – Ideal Candidate

  • A graduate with a Psychology or related degree

  • A clear interest in progressing into Educational Psychology, SEN or Child Psychology

  • Confident, resilient and able to work effectively with secondary-aged boys

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

  • Able to commit to a full-time role for the academic year
