Year 2 Teacher – Brent – September 2026

 

A high-achieving, three-form entry primary school in Brent is seeking a confident Year 2 Teacher from September 2026. Graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted with outstanding features, the school is recognised for strong leadership, excellent behaviour and consistently high attainment across KS1, with over 600 pupils on roll.

 

  • Permanent Year 2 Teacher role paid Inner London M1–M5 with strong CPD and progression opportunities
  • Experienced KS1 leadership team providing structured support to a Year 2 Teacher
  • Excellent pupil outcomes, with KS1 attainment above national averages in reading, writing and maths
  • Inclusive setting with approx. 25% SEN and 12% EHCPs, supported by skilled Teaching Assistants
  • Established planning structures across a large year group, reducing workload for a Year 2 Teacher
  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons as a Year 2 Teacher, preparing pupils effectively for end of KS1 assessments
  • Use assessment data to drive progress and close attainment gaps
  • Work collaboratively with parallel teachers and support staff as a Year 2 Teacher
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • QTS is essential for this Year 2 Teacher role
  • Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and SATs expectations required
