Maths Teacher – Newham – September 2026
A high-performing secondary school in Newham is seeking a talented and committed Maths Teacher to join their established Mathematics department from September 2026. This is a full-time contractual Maths Teacher position within a school recognised for strong academic outcomes, clear behaviour systems and a culture centred around high expectations and professional development.

The Role

Candidate Requirements
• British QTS or completion of a UK-accredited teacher training programme
• A 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics or a related subject from a reputable UK university
• Strong classroom practice and understanding of effective behaviour management
• Commitment to supporting pupil progress and wider school life
ECT applications are welcomed where formal UK teacher training has been completed.
Salary & Contract
This is a term-time contractual role equivalent to the Inner London pay scale. Salaries range from £40,317 (M1) to £62,496 (UPS3), with daily rates ranging from £194.21 to £287.97 inclusive of holiday pay. Placement on the scale is commensurate with experience.
