ASD Teacher – Newham – Immediate Start

ASD Teacher – What the Role Involves
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with Autism
• Creating structured and positive learning environments that promote engagement and achievement
• Supporting pupils' communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and wider professionals to deliver personalised learning programmes
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies where required
• Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support positive outcomes
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment across the school
ASD Teacher – What the School is Looking For
The ideal ASD Teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working with pupils with Autism and additional SEND needs. The school is seeking a patient, adaptable, and reflective practitioner who understands the importance of building positive relationships and delivering personalised learning experiences.
Previous experience within a specialist SEND school, autism provision, resource base, or mainstream setting supporting pupils with additional needs would be highly advantageous.
