Social Sciences / Criminology Graduate – Learning Support Assistant

Kensington & Chelsea – ASAP Start

Are you a Social Sciences or Criminology Graduate looking for a role where you can use your degree while gaining experience within education?

An inclusive Sixth Form in Kensington & Chelsea is looking for a strong Social Sciences graduate to support students aged 16–19 with SEND, particularly those studying Criminology, Law and related Social Science subjects at Level 3/A-Level.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a graduate considering a future career in teaching, education, youth work or another people-focused profession.

What’s in it for you?

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEND

  • Use your subject knowledge to support Criminology, Law and related Social Science subjects

  • Help students understand key concepts and complete academic tasks

  • Support students with organisation, coursework and independent study

  • Adapt your approach to different learning needs and abilities

  • Help students build confidence and become more independent learners

Person Specification

  • Degree in Criminology, Sociology, Law, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline

  • Strong academic knowledge, with Criminology knowledge particularly desirable

  • Confident working with students at Level 3/A-Level

  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain concepts clearly

  • Patient, proactive and passionate about supporting young people
