Economics Teacher | Lewisham
Are you a qualified Economics Teacher looking to join a strong secondary and sixth-form setting in Lewisham? This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Economics Teacher to teach students across KS4 and KS5, developing their understanding of economic theory and how it applies to the real world.
The school is looking for an Economics Teacher who can bring the subject to life through current economic issues, strong discussion and rigorous analysis. You will support students in understanding both microeconomics and macroeconomics, developing the mathematical, analytical and evaluative skills required for examination success and future study.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Economics lessons across secondary and sixth form.
- Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Teaching key microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts.
- Encouraging students to apply economic theory to current affairs and real-world situations.
- Developing students' ability to interpret data, construct arguments and evaluate economic policies.
- Assessing work and providing clear feedback to support academic progress.
- Supporting students with revision, examination technique and independent study.
The successful Economics Teacher will:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have a degree in Economics or a closely related subject.
- Have experience teaching Economics at secondary level.
- Ideally have experience teaching A-Level Economics.
- Have strong knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics and economic policy.
- Be confident teaching students to analyse data and construct well-supported economic arguments.
- Have high expectations of academic achievement and classroom behaviour.
