Cover Supervisor – Westminster – Immediate Start
Are you a confident Cover Supervisor with previous classroom experience looking for a long-term role in Westminster?
This Cover Supervisor role is ideal for an aspiring teacher, experienced school-based professional or strong graduate who has already worked with young people and can step into a secondary classroom with confidence.
Cover Supervisor | Key Details
• £120-150 per day PAYE
• Immediate start
• Full-time, term-time only
• Contract until the end of the academic year
• Based in Westminster
• Excellent experience before teacher training or further school-based roles
Cover Supervisor | The Role
• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 when teachers are absent
• Deliver pre-planned work and ensure pupils remain on task
• Manage behaviour calmly and consistently in line with school policy
• Maintain a purposeful classroom environment
• Support pupils with routines, focus and access to learning
• Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders
Cover Supervisor | Candidate Requirements
• Previous classroom experience is strongly preferred
• Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, HLTA, Youth Worker or Mentor would be suitable
• Confident leading a classroom of secondary-aged pupils
• Able to manage behaviour without relying on the class teacher being present
• Calm, firm and fair approach to setting expectations
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Reliable, professional and able to commit consistently
