Behaviour Mentor | Barking & Dagenham
Do you have extensive experience working with children and being involved in challenging behaviour management?
Ribbons and Reeves are partnered with a ‘Good’ Alternative Provision for children ages 11-16 based in Dagenham who are seeking a resilient and confident Behaviour Mentor to support their learners who have difficulties with their behaviour and learning in mainstream education.
Behaviour Mentor | The Role:
- Assist with the provision of support for an individual student with social, emotional and/or behaviour difficulties, helping them overcome barriers to learning
- Develop mentoring relationship with identified pupils
- Work alongside teachers and SLT to promote the effective use of behaviour management strategies
- To act as a motivator, positive role model and advocate for young people
- Working hours between 8:30-16:00, Monday-Friday
- Pay of up to £95 per day via PAYE (depending on experience)
Behaviour Mentor | Personal Specification:
- Ideally have experience working with children who have additional learning needs
- School-based experience is essential
- Confident dealing with challenging and resistant behaviour
- Ideally have a keen interest in Sport and Music - this is based on the child's interests
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to further develop their skills and experience as a Behaviour Mentor, working with children and supporting with their SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
This fantastic Provision is spread across 3 separate campuses and is looking to open a brand new site within the next two years.
