School Head Caretaker | Newham

Are you a dedicated School Head Caretaker seeking a new, exciting opportunity?

Ribbons & Reeves are looking for a committed and enthusiastic School Head Caretaker, with a flexible approach to work and personable and compassionate attitude to join this school’s Site Team.

As the School Head Caretaker, you will help provide a safe, efficient and effective learning and working environment for students and staff and help in maintaining high standards and contribute to the aims of the school as an SEMH environment. The school has a maximum capacity of 35 students across three buildings, which you will maintain as an School Head Caretaker.

You will be part of a talented, loyal and hardworking team dedicated to improving outcomes for the school’s students!

School Head Caretaker Duties:

• Security of premises
• Health & Safety
• General maintenance - Carrying out maintenance and repairs to property, fixtures, fittings and equipment, within the scope of a competent handyperson. Repairs to damage by pupils
• Compliance checks - Ensure weekly fire alarm checks and checking of fire equipment are carried out with records etc
• Liasing with contractors and arranging deliveries

School Head Caretaker Role

• Salary: £27,500
• Permanent role - immediate start!
• 12pm-8pm - Monday-Friday

School Head Caretaker Requirements:

• School experience is a benefit
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with all members of the school community
• Knowledge and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Proficiency in DIY skills for general maintenance and repairs
• Reliability, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work independently
• Driving license preferred
