English Academic Mentor – Haringey – September 2025 Start

We are working with a high-performing secondary school in Haringey that is seeking a confident and ambitious English Academic Mentor to support students across GCSE and A-Level English. This is an ideal opportunity to gain paid, school-based experience before progressing into teacher training.

English Academic Mentor – The Role:

• £500–£550 per week (pro rata, term-time only – paid weekly via PAYE)
• Full-time role from September 2025 to July 2026
• Deliver focused English intervention sessions to small groups and individual pupils
• Work within a successful and collaborative English Department
• Support pupils across a range of academic abilities, helping them to excel

English Academic Mentor – What You Need:

• A 2:1 or 1st Class English degree from a top 30 UK university
• At least one year of experience tutoring, mentoring or supporting young people
• Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills
• A genuine desire to pursue a career in teaching
• A proactive and compassionate attitude, with a commitment to pupil progress
