Humanities Mentor – Hounslow – September 2025 Start
Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Are you a Humanities graduate keen to build experience in a school with strong pastoral values and inclusive teaching practices?
A secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a Humanities Mentor to support students across subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies. You’ll join a collaborative staff team that values curiosity, respect, and academic growth among pupils.
As a Humanities Mentor, you’ll work closely with the Humanities department to support pupils in lessons, run small group catch-up sessions, and help prepare and adapt learning resources. This is a great opportunity for someone thinking about teacher training or a career in education.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in KS3 and KS4 Humanities lessons to improve understanding
- Leading small group revision and discussion sessions focused on key topics
- Helping to plan and adapt lesson materials to suit different learning needs
- Working closely with SEN and EAL pupils to boost engagement and progress
We’re looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in a Humanities subject such as History, Geography or Religious Studies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
- Commitment to working for the full academic year, September 2025 to July 2026
