Job Description

SEND Teaching Assistant – Camden – Immediate Start

Experienced in SEN? Confident supporting Autism, communication needs and dysregulation?

Ribbons & Reeves are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants who can make an immediate impact in Camden schools. This is not a generic classroom support role. We are looking for candidates who already understand SEN settings, complex needs and the importance of consistency.

The kind of experience we are looking for:

• Autism support in mainstream or specialist settings
• 1:1 support with pupils working below age-related expectations
• PECS, Makaton, visual timetables or individual schedules
• Supporting pupils with anxiety, dysregulation or challenging behaviour
• Personal care, feeding, toileting or daily independence routines
• EHCP targets, behaviour plans, care plans or IEPs
• Small-group intervention, sensory work or communication support

This could suit you if you have worked as a:

• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Autism Support Worker
• Learning Support Assistant
• Teaching and Learning Practitioner
• Behaviour Mentor
• Support Worker in a child-focused setting

What you need:

• Proven SEN experience
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs
• Calm, consistent and resilient approach
• Strong safeguarding awareness
• Ability to build trust with pupils who need routine and patience
• Based in, or able to commute to, Camden

These are full-time, term-time only roles with immediate starts and long-term opportunities available.

If you are an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a Camden role where your SEN experience will be valued, apply today or contact Ribbons & Reeves.
