School HR Officer | Barking & Dagenham

We have an opportunity for a highly organized School HR Officer to join a friendly team, providing efficient HR service across an amazing academy based in Barking & Dagenham. As the School HR Officer you will be working in close collaboration and with full support from Senior Leadership, you will provide a dedicated HR service that supports the full employee life cycle.

The School HR Officer will be the first point of contact for any HR queries within the school, maintain accurate employee information on HR systems and files, record and monitor staff absences, assist line managers in HR processes, and carry out other fundamental duties.

School HR Officer Job Summary:

• Recruitment, onboarding, and induction for new employees
• Absence management
• Performance management
• Investigations for alleged misconduct
• Management and maintenance of all employee records

School HR Officer Role:

Salary: £32,000-£35,000

Contract: Term-time – fixed-term opportunity – 1 year

School HR Officer Requirements:

• Experience working in a similar role with excellent administrative skills
• School experience preferred
• Excellent communicator
• Highly organized with the ability to manage own workload, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• CIPD Qualifications beneficial
